![]() It is believed (scientifically) that these bacteria are the ancestors of all living organisms which are right now present on this earth’s surface. It just has a small piece of the DNA, some cytoplasm and a plasma membrane. The bacteria was a very simple life form. There was a point when there was water everywhere on earth. Due to these rains, the earth started to cool down. This resulted in extreme rains on planet earth. Later the evaporated water condensed and resulted in clouds. The water molecules evaporated due to immense heat in the atmosphere. One of the very important chemical reactions was the synthesis of the water molecule. Right after the Big Bang, but it was just like a ball of fire.Īt this ball of fire, billions of chemical reactions took place. At the third place in our solar system, there was a blue star, our home Earth. In our solar system, there were nine planets which were revolving around one big star, the Sun. Our solar system was created due to the scattering of the matter. There was a time in a universe when all of the matter was condensed into one common point and then because of that big blast that matters, was shattered. The creation of a universe begins with one big blast. To understand the sequence of alignment first, we need to understand the story of evolution. Therefore, we are going to spend a good amount of time understanding some very basic concepts about sequence alignments. What does it mean? It means there, if you can have a good idea about the sequence then it means that it will be very easy for you to understand the rest of the other bioinformatics concepts. The sequence alignment is a very heart of informatics. In our previous blog post, we tried to understand the basics of databases and some important biological databases. In this blog post, we will talk about basics of DNA and protein sequence alignment. ![]()
